My Cancer Journey
We all have our own personal journey’s happening, our own struggles we are dealing with. I’m lucky mine has a name, it’s called Cancer and I get to use its name; to get angry at it. Unfortunately not everyone else’s struggle has a name, whilst you maybe can’t name your struggle. I’m hoping through my cancer journey I encourage you to embrace and conquer your struggle, whatever it may be.
This section of my site is really all about our Cancer moments . A way for me to document my journey for myself, to share it with others and hopefully encourage you to walk your journey, create and conquer your moments.
So I got diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 40, never in my wildest dreams did I believe this was how my first year in the 40’s would turn out. After all isn’t this when life is supposed to start, isn’t this where we step out of our younger years and really hit our adult prime. At this stage of my life, professionally I am in my prime, I am an executive (after many years of hard effort), I am happily married to my best friend Grant, with two beautiful daughters Kate and Jennifer. My girls are heading into teenage status (yay, they’re becoming human, or not; the jury is still out…) and we were really starting to look forward to some more great times as a family.
Then life changed… well life was about to teach me other things.
